Africa’s leading digital advertising company, Terragon Group, participated at the 5th edition of Mobile Web Africa Conference in Johannesburg as the Conference’ Africa Growth Partner.

Elo Umeh, Chief Executive Officer, Terragon Group, who was a Contributor at the Leaders of Mobile Panel talked about the relevance of mobile advertising in Africa today: “Africa is mobile. This is a fact. The way Africans interact with their mobile devices today and how mobile subscription grows astronomically on an annual basis, predetermines what the future holds for mobile in Africa. Mobile Data Traffic is expected to grow by 20 times in the next 5 years. Africa’s potential is massive. 1 Billion people – almost 70% under 25 years of age – 70% of the fastest growing economies by next year will come from Africa.”
It was an exciting time during the 2-day conference where industry leaders and participants shared facts and thoughts on Mobile trends, Apps, Mobile Web and media, Money and payments, as well as a special look at an interesting peek into the scene of Lagos as the Tech Hub of Africa.
