Plugging the holes for Diageo


We were approached by Diageo to develop a cost-effective solution that will effectively monitor on-trade (In-bar) activations end-to-end for sampling and consumer promotions. The main objective was to achieve cost effectiveness with less human intervention preferably real-time and on-time.

Our Solution

  • Terragon developed a simple and easy to use SMS-based digital solution for both product consumers and promoters
  • Consumers were prompted to enter the promoter’s unique ID provided by the promoter
  • Each unique ID was linked to a promoter
  • Every consumer who participated in the interactive SMS activation was rewarded with a free drink at first trial and a discount for the next purchase


This solution plugged the leakages in the sampling process and gave Diageo real-time data to aid their marketing decision process.
